and Constructive Treatments for Mild-Autism

In many years to come, this approach will become more mainstream,

Having looked at your video I agree that most therapists describe autism in terms of the symptoms:
“this is what your son does, (like not hearing you or paying attention to you) so he is autistic” . And then they tell you how to make him look at you.
They should go before the symptom and finding out WHY he doesnt notice you,
not trying to make him look, cause the problem behind that symptom is still there.
Is there any other references around that talk about this? Rather than putting the cart before the horse, when they are treating the symptom not the cause?
Yes, you have accurately pinpointed the diagnosis absurdity that is indicative of the poor practices surrounding autism treatment
Imagine if a medical doctor said of a tuberculosis victim: you are coughing so I will fix you with some cough-suppressant,
without going behind the symptom to discover the root cause, and fix the problem properly!
Real World Training and other enlightened help seeks to find out the root causes of a more autistic orientation
and fix them as much as possible, before then encouraging the person who has withdrawn profoundly because of those stresses,
to “try again” to open up and enter the Real Wold (when possible).
When the background stresses are removed before attempting to instruct, the child can then pay attention and interact
looking at you for example because the distractions are first removed.
